I want to include my camera profile from the xRite ColorChecker passport - but I don't even manage to get it into the system. I have to learn - and it is a little hard as there are not so many good tutorials on youtube like there are for Lightroom. Not perfect - but I think that it is more a problem that I am not deep enough within the system like I am in Lightroom. Did it several times before - but this time it seems to work for me. I tried the latest version of RawTherapee a couple of days before. Does RAWTherapee even have "actions" as a feature (the ability to create new ones)? Also the only way I've seen to "reveal" the Lightroom presets' settings was to open the template file in Notepad, but those settings are gibberish. I don't figure those will "import," but what I'd like to do is have their settings "revealed" so I can replicate them myself in RAWTherapee. Does RAWTherapee have lens profiles for lenses like the Nikon 18-55mm VR?Īnother thing-I have a couple of presets I use with Lightroom. I use those all the time so that landscape shots taken at wide angle don't have distortion. From the poking around I've done it seems to have what I want, with one possible exception-lens profiles.

I have a couple of "presets" I use on occasion with portraits. txt file in the images' folder with keywords in its filename and by doing a Windows Explorer search for the keyword it finds the. (I have a really nifty way of "keywording" images-I simply plant a. I don't use any of the "cataloging" of Lightroom, I use it strictly for RAW processing, period. (I had the Sony A6000 for 2 years prior to that, again LR 5.7 was compatible.) I also have Nikon Capture NX-D, which is Nikon's free RAW software. Nikon D3300 and Lightroom 5.7, which I've had for 2-odd years (had LR 3 and LR 4 prior to that) and which is totally compatible with my Nikon D3300 RAW files, a camera which I just got 2 months ago.

Computer software has always been that way to me and for it to be anything else to me is totally foreign.Īnyway-my current setup is as follows. I'm one who is totally against this, I don't care if the subscription is 3 cents a YEAR, I shouldn't have to have software "check" for validity-to me, once installed, good to go.

Yes, this is in response to the hoopla over Lightroom no longer being offered as a stand-alone download that you buy and never have to pay for again.
